Hi. I’m Paula. I grew up in Brazil, where people talk with their hands, food is a love language, and everything is bigger with a little flair. My early influences include samba, telenovelas, beach-everything, and whatever pop culture made its way south of the equator. These days, I’m into overwatering my plants, hanging out with my son, Formula 1, binging legal dramas like I have a case to argue, and pretending I have time to write a screenplay.

With experience on both coasts (and continents), including a four-year run at Media Arts Lab, I’ve had the privilege of working with top-tier clients like Apple, Gatorade, and the Grammys. My work has been recognized by The One Show, Clio Awards, D&AD, and Cannes.

Now, I’m a freelance writer in Los Angeles, crafting stories that connect, entertain, and occasionally make people cry (in a good way). Whether I’m coming up with a big idea, writing a script, or timing a radio spot to the heartbeat, I’m always chasing that perfect mix of insight, craft, and impact.

Along the way, I’ve picked up a few skills, like distilling big ideas into tight copy, finding the right words for any moment, and sometimes even making up new ones. In case you're wondering, yes, I speak fluent Portuguese— and more often than not come up with English words that don’t exist but absolutely should.
